Ashtanga Intermediate
Series

Welcome!

The following videos, with the exception of “Led Intermediate”, are largely not follow-along tutorials. Please watch the videos first to gain a conceptual understanding before attempting the exercises and or postures (the moves). The moves are intended to be performed only when warmed up or, in other words, physically and mentally prepared for the activity ahead. To remain true to the context of this video series, the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga, including sun salutations, is recommended as a warm-up. The moves are intended to be performed on both sides. The Primary Series is also highly recommended to be performed before the video: “Led Intermediate”.

There are risks inherent in all forms of physical activity, but we can do our best to protect ourselves against them. Please check in each and every time that you practice to ensure you are feeling well enough to proceed. You should be injury-free, well-rested, hydrated, and have no conditions in place that would limit your ability to participate safely. Should you encounter any pain, numbness, tingling, or other sensations of discomfort, perhaps light-headedness or dizziness, please stop what you are doing safetl. At times it is a matter of making a small adjustment to form and or technique to improve your experience, while at other times it could mean the move or level of intensity is not for you today. Due to the limitations of this online platform, BLK can not see you in time to provide feedback on form and technique to ensure that you are performing the moves safely. Please know that the line of communication is always open with BLK. Feel free to write in with any questions that you have. Please refer to BLK’s Waiver, Privacy Policy, and Terms and Conditions, for any additional information on this online content. Enjoy your practice!
