My intention through this platform is to contribute to one’s capacity to move with load in as many ways as required and desired particular to one’s specialization. Both dance and yoga place high demands that require an appreciation of both the biomechanical principles behind these disciplines and the ability to execute their associated techniques correctly. My hope is to offer a piece of the body-mind movement puzzle, within my scope of practice, and to encourage a lifelong pursuit of somatic work and the movement arts.

Wes, Yoga Student

Bronwen was such an incredibly engaging, inspiring and knowledgeable guide.  Through two sessions, she was able to purposefully lead me through a series of direct and purposeful sequences that were extremely effective and direct.  Her cues and direction were clear and concise, and with small subtle changes to a muscle or skeletal position, or even mindset, I was able to experience incredible results.  Bronwen is also extremely sincere and passionate about her work.  Her extensive background in both dance and yoga lend themselves perfectly as a compliment in her work to support healthy functional body movement.  I would recommend Miss Kettleson to anyone that is interested in being able to look for new and refreshing ways to move their bodies whether it is through dance, yoga or any other physical practice. ” ~ Wes Inaba, Private Client

TESTIMONIALS

Carolyn, Acro Student

I am so grateful to have the opportunity to learn acro from Bronwen. Her classes are all so accessible for any level of student. They are very well structured, have good pacing for opportunity to try all that is being taught, and she teaches so many well explained progressions for each move that it was possible to really learn and make progress week over week. I am so grateful for her online training for a dance and movement style that is truly not easy to find training for.”

  • Classes are offered at foundational, categorized as “All Levels”, Advanced Beginner and Intermediate Level. Higher level content for pre and semi professional movers is coming soon.

  • Classes will be offered at the foundational, referred to as “All Levels”, to pre and semi-professional mover. While All Levels classes are targeted at a beginner level, physical fitness and good health is assumed. Please note that all classes are intended as general information only and not for therapeutic purposes.

  • Frequency of training varies depending on several factors that could include how many hours a day one is training in other modalities, how quickly one recovers from a session, and what one’s goals are. For example, one who is seeking to maintain mobility may train less frequently than someone preparing for a competition. It is assumed that all are receiving adequate rest, nutrition, and support from applicable healthcare professionals. Bronwen views her dedication to the movement arts as a lifetime pursuit and, as such, a longterm process. Training should, therefore, be consistent and enjoyable. Always check in each and every time that you train to ensure that you are feeling well enough to continue and make note that rest days are an important aspect of training.

  • Bronwen has recorded most of her videos within a living room of a home environment. Most classes concentrate movement around the space the size of a mat or two. There are times when the use of supports such as wall space and the back of a chair, countertop, may be used. The exception is acro floorwork, which may require more space. Please make sure that whatever space one uses is free of clutter or anything else that may pose a risk to safety.

  • Dancers, pole and other aerial enthusiasts, yogis, or anyone looking to build a strong, flexy, and fluid movement ability. Regardless of discipline, a strong focus on technique, conditioning, and the cultivation of awareness will be prominent in all training. In addition to those interested in breaking down movements and shapes particular to their discipline, the “how-to” of each move, some may also find value in how shapes or skills can be transformed into a moving art form.

  • Bronwen, now in her mid 40’s, has been training in various forms of movement since she was a child. She teaches very much in the same way that she approaches her training. Bronwen will give clear and concise cues on the alignment, technique, and conditioning required for the skill, as well as how it may tie in with progressions to higher level moves both within the same modality (i.e. how Downward Dog could progress to Handstands) as well as with others (i.e. how that same posture is performed in Acro Dance). She receives more benefit from refining and broadening her movement ability rather than simply performing the movement itself. Within dance this refinement could be appreciated as developing the line, expression, and artistry. Within yoga, we may refer to this as “bhaga” or grace. Bronwen believes that feats of strength and flexibility are noteworthy achievements, but not the end goal. Bronwen hopes that an enhanced understanding of body awareness and movement vocabulary will lead to moving with greater freedom and creativity throughout one’s healthspan.
